WHO IS QUEEN AFUA?

Queen Afua, born Helen Robinson, is a renowned holistic health practitioner, wellness coach, and an accomplished author, who has been a trailblazer in the green foods movement for over four decades. Queen Afua has dedicated her life to fighting diseases by teaching people how to understand and utilize the power of food, self-care, and holistic healthy choices as an empowering lifestyle. She has inspired more than a million women, men, and children throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe with her workshops, books, products, and presentations.



Queen Afua has more than forty years of experience as a holistic health practitioner and wellness coach. Her teachings are based on the principles of ancient African  traditions, and she has blended this with contemporary natural health and beauty techniques to create a unique approach to holistic wellness. As a young woman, Queen Afua became involved in the black nationalist movement and worked as a community organizer in Harlem. After healing herself with natural remedies she went on to be a student of wellness. As a teenager she began to study yoga, meditation, and herbalism and began her journey to becoming a holistic health practitioner and wellness coach.


In 1987, Queen Afua published her first book, "Heal Thyself: For Health and Longevity," which became a bestseller. The book offered practical advice on diet, exercise, and self-care and introduced many readers to the concept of a "green foods" diet. The book was well-received, and Queen Afua's reputation as a holistic health practitioner and wellness coach grew.


Over the next two decades, Queen Afua continued to write and teach about holistic health, offering workshops and retreats around the world. She published her second book, "Sacred Woman: A Guide to Healing the Feminine Body, Mind, and Spirit," in 2000, which has become a classic in the field of holistic health and wellness. In 1994, Queen Afua founded the Sacred Woman Rites of Passage program, which has helped thousands of women connect with their inner power and healing abilities.
